Shown here is a Lighting and Media Design Project for Janelle Monae’s “Make Me Feel,” which was our 2019 Hog Factor Competition Submission. This was Designed and Programed with 2 of my colleagues from Carnegie Mellon, Jacob Wesson and Chazz Malott. As a group, we wanted to focus on the power Janelle holds over the space, and we tried to emphasize the idea that the entire rig revolved around her.

This was a Concert Design Project for which we selected an artist to design and program the Lighting and Media for. I choose this house music remix of Janelle Monae’s “Pynk,” made by King Arthur. I thought the elevated pacing would capture the energy of a live Monáe experience. Design wise - I wanted to ride the line between intense passion glitchy break down.

This is a video of a Programming project I did in which the goal was to take a Concert Design of some sort and adapt to a previously made rig environment. This was an exercise in practicing traveling with a musical group to various venues all with different equipment. I chose to replicate Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar's 2016 BET Awards Performance.

This was a Programming Project in which I was given a cue sheet and color pallete by another Designer, and tasked with programming the song myself. The song is Breaker by Chaos Chaos.
