Jasmine Monet Lesane is a Lighting Artist dedicated to impactful visual design. A recent grad of Carnegie Mellon's School of Drama, Jasmine uses innovative design solutions throughout the entire process of every visual experience she works on. Her recent Lighting Design credits are An Octoroon (2019) at the New Hazlett Theater, and Detroit ’67 (2018) at the Philip Chosky Theatre. She also assisted the Full Flood Lighting Team on the 92nd Academy Awards earlier this year. With the belief that light transcends genre- Jasmine designs for Theatre, Dance, Installations, Concerts, and Film projects, all while working hard to use her artistry to react to the current happenings around us all. 

 

Jasmine was a recipient of the 2020 Barbizon Lighting Company Jonathan Resnick Lighting Award, as well as the USITT Gateway Sponsorship for 2020. Click to listen to her USITT Podcast Interview.
